If 2007 is any indication, back to school gift cards will start appearing very soon from companies such as American Express and others. In the past, American Express has used an offer such as 'buy two gift cards and recieve free $25 gift card free'. The back to school cards were good for usage at The Gap or Banana Republic.

Similar gift card offers will be made available soon from Visa and Mastercard soon as well. This is simply a wonderful marketing opportunity and the end of summer is a very legitimate time that people will need a bit of economic help to prep their children for school.
