CashStar Helps Gift Cards Move Online

In following with the latest trend of the move from paper to a wired medium, CashStar has launched a new online gift card platform. 

The goal: create a place where consumers can go and purchase personalized eGift Cards online.

Consumers will be able to purchase the gift cards from any number of retail stores and restaurants all at one online location.  They can personalize many aspects of the online gift cards and add messages to the recipient.  CashStar delivers the gift cards electronically within a few hours.

Recipients of the online gift cards can then use them at the retailer’s online store if one exists, or simply print out the gift card and use it at the physical location.  No physical card is ever made or wasted.

CashStar is hoping to recruit more and more retailers with the money-saving incentive of not having to pay for the small plastic cards.  Most of the current gift card market exists in the checkout line of grocery stores.  Only 6% of the 97 billion dollar gift card industry exists online, and Cash Star hopes to change that.
