Dairy Queen begins a blog - with a gift card offer.

If you answered yes, you may be able to get your hands on a $5 Dairy Queen gift card by posting your opinions or stories on their new blog.

The blog, Creating Smiles and Stories, began earlier this month as a place for employees to spread the word about DQ’s latest offerings and value menus.  The company then decided it wanted outsiders’ opinions and began offering gift cards as a way to entice the public.

Dairy Queen is asking the computer savvy burger consumers, ‘What deal would you make with us to try our new Sweet Deals value menu?’  The first 250 bloggers to draft a response, post it on their own blog, and then send an email to blog@idq.com with their own blog address will receive the $5 gift cards.  Dairy Queen also promises to award the most creative response with free food for a year.

Dairy Queen is growing and using the web to reach as many customers as possible.  Dairy Queen began with a fan page on Facebook, started the Creating Smiles and Stories blog, and is now looking to entice even more burger lovers with the chance to get a $5 gift card.  Way to go, DQ!
