2009 will be biggest year ever for Gift Cards

While 2008 took a slight dip in Gift Card activity we are certain that over all gift card spending will reach an all time high in 2009. This will be due to two factors, one the economy is certain to be stronger than in was last year which will make for a larger Holiday Gift Card giving season this year.

The second reason which is more important is that in '08 Gift Card giving for necessities took hold and will not go away this year. So while we will see the return of gift card giving in this year we will continue to see gift cards given for gas and groceries. This will combine to make it the biggest year ever.
