Sites such as charitychoice enable people to give gift cards that are associated with hundreds of charities. These sites are great in many ways. One, the giver has teh benefit of a 100% tax deductible gift. Two, the recipient has hundreds of charities to choose from. The recipient choose which charity the dollar amount is applied to. This creates a "double give". The originator gets to give the gift card and then the recipient gives to the charity of their choice.
Charity Choice allows the gift cards to be given electronically or they will send a traditional hard gift card. The person who gets the gift card goes to the charity choice web site and follows the easy-to-redeem process.
The gift cards come in over 10o designs and are built around over 20 special occasions. Charity gift cards are a wonderful idea and we are happy they have arrived in force.
