Gift Cards had looked to be the perfect gift for any and all occasions. There clearly is a new wrinkly however. If you are going to give a gift card, be sure the merchant you are giving has solid financials. Give a gift card to iTunes or The north face or any other rock solid company but make sure you avoid companies that are teetering.
The luxury goods maker Fortunoff is the latest company to seek bankruptcy and in term announce that they are no longer honoring their gift cards.
It has been reported that certain companies are looking at saving Fortunoff from banktruptcy and in turn, breathing life into their gift cards. If this happens we will be sure to mention it in this blog.
