Do a search for Trade Gift Cards in Google and the second natural result is for CardAvenue. This says a great deal on its own. CardAvenue is a leading player in the marketplace for trading and buying discounted gift cards.
A few examples of some of the deals that can be found on the site, you can buy a $50 Kmart gift card for $40 or an $84 sears gift card for a $67.
These are wonderful deals and are certainly worth considering. There are challenges however, to this model. Similar to ebay or other online marketplaces, it is impossible to tell if you are dealing with a cheater or a fraud. There is an amount of risk that comes along with these transactions. The risk can be lessened by reading reviews of the sellers and building relationships with them.
